Work Performed
Low energy cooling and natural displacement ventilation systems.
Daylighting design.
Overall building form optimization.
Relevant Details
The building site is very challenging with high noise levels due to adjacent railroads and an elongated shape that pushed towards a monolithic East-West facing building.
A set of courtyards were created, allowing for North & South façade orientations and operable windows opening into an acoustically controlled courtyard environment.
The natural displacement ventilation system can also operate through acoustically insulated channels.
