In this stadium the goal was to provide optimal use of daylight while avoiding direct radiation in the indoor soccer field. NaturalWorks proposed the use of a large size non-imaging optics (NIO) device.
The NIO device is installed in the space spectators, thereby avoiding audience glare problems. Radiance simulations show significantly improved lighting levels in clear sky conditions (compared to existing daylighting solutions).
